Happy New Year!

2012 has been a year of significant change for us. Things are still changing and I think 2013 will have the theme of adjustment. When I started this year, my dreams were to
publish a novel and have a baby.

Amazingly, both my dreams came true. I've been beyond blessed even with all the upheaval in 2012. My 2013 will be dedicated to my husband and my son while I figure out what to put on my now blank bucket list. I want to savor every second of this new adventure with my husband and our son (furry minions, too).

I hope all of you enjoy your new year adventures as well.

Next Big Thing. I've been tagged by BA Tortuga!

Thank you, Miss BA for giving me something to think about!
Go check out her Next Big Thing on her blog!

Here are my ponderings:

What is the working title of your next book?
Downpour book 2 or Weathering #2

Where did the idea come from for the book?
It is the sequel to my most recent novel, Downpour.

What genre does your book fall under?

Contemporary fluffy m/m romance.

What actors would you choose to play the part of your characters in a movie rendition?
If Paul Walker and Kellan Lutz could be melded into one human, he'd be Jesse. And if Peter Facinelli and David Tennant could be smooshed into one, he'd be Peter.

Good stuff, right?!

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
You can know what you want, but what you want may not want you back and learning to let love come to you can be more frustrating than walking through the London fog drunk.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
Loose Id hosts my Weathering series.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?
Still working on it *sigh* Being pregnant is a HUGE cockblocker.
CAUTION: Wide Load!
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
Taxes and TARDIS from my love NRWalker.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?
I think I was mainly inspired by the first novel. As I was writing Downpour and learning more about these two side characters, Jesse and Peter, I realized I loved them just as much. Especially Jesse, who is an amalgamation of my brother Brian and the two actors I mentioned above. Just that silly, sweet, giant lug who loves everyone and is fiercely loyal. I wanted to add more of him into Downpour and my editor kept slapping him out of the book so I had no choice but give him his own book :)

What else about the book might pique the reader’s interest?
There will be a bit set in London and there will be some drunken shenanigans!

And now for the fun part:

Time to share! These are the next folks in line, check them out!

Katey Hawthorne: I met this lovely gem when I won her book Riot Boy through The Sweet Spot's Reader Appreciation Day. We both have a serious love for dirty punks with mohawks and she's just a doll.
Michelle Smith: My other half in writing. I wouldn't be half the writer if it weren't for Michelle. And she loves to write scary stuff which isn't my cuppa, but I read it anyhow because it's so well written!
NR Walker: My dear, sweet, Aussie author friend who lets me preread for her. She writes wonderful m/m and poly stories that will make any hopeless romantic swoon.
Melpomene Selemidis: One of my Aussie dolls, who is also a Greek Goddess in hiding. She is a poet and an artist. If you aren't following her, do so. You'll love her artistic, peaceful, romantic flow!
